Turning 18 feels like unlocking a whole new level, except nobody hands you the instructions. Suddenly you're expected to remember appointments, pay bills, cook dinner, keep the laundry moving, and somehow still have energy left at the end of the day. Everyone makes it look easy until it's your turn. Then you realize most adults are just figuring it out as they go, one grocery trip and one forgotten password at a time.

Being 5'2" makes adulthood just a little more complicated. You can be paying your own bills, working full time, and handling every responsibility under the sun, then someone asks if you're old enough to be there. Reaching the top shelf becomes a team sport, and getting mistaken for a teenager is practically a weekly occurrence. It's hard to feel like the adult in the room when everyone else keeps forgetting you already are.

There really should be a trial period for adulthood. The first 18 years don't count because someone else is handling most of the important stuff. Then one day you're expected to know how insurance works, remember to renew things before they expire, keep the fridge stocked, and somehow not burn dinner. A practice mode would've been nice before getting thrown straight into the full version with no instructions and no way to pause.
